Hello dear brothers,

It is with great pleasure that we are writing to you from Guyana. In previous letters, we had said that we thought of Guyana as a small India and even as Mozambique. After all, Guyana's population is made up of Indian and African descent. We only knew the city of Lethem, which borders Brazil. But as soon as we've got here, we started to see that Guyana is very, very different from both India and Africa, although it still retains certain similarities.

We had a great trip and we were helped by several dear brothers who facilitated the entire process that we are going through. In Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima (Brazil) we were hosted at Calvary Regular Baptist Church, where Pr. Neemias and Pr. Daniel were very hospitable, but we really missed Pr. Douglas, who died earlier this year.
We had the opportunity to visit some churches and brothers during the week we were there, but the time was short and we couldn't visit them all.
God opened the door for us to legally enter Guyana, but we were informed by the Federal Police that the borders were still closed to tourism. When mentioning our purpose of coming to help Baptist churches in Guyana, the policeman stamped our passport and in Guyana we were also received with a Welcome (Bem-vindos).

If you want to support us by spreading our reports and NEWS FROM OUR MISSIONARIES in INDIA, AFRICA, GUYANA or even news from the field in BRAZIL, please share with your contacts.

Here in Georgetown, capital of Guyana, we were welcomed by Pr. Renato, a missionary from Maranatha Mission who has been here for 3 years. We are staying with a Guyanese brother to whom we will pay rent these first few months while he goes to Brazil.

We ask for your prayers for our adaptation in this country. The cost of living here is almost three times higher than in Brazil, mainly food and rent. We need to understand the customs of the people and their way of thinking.

We want to know the churches better and their spiritual situation so that we can better serve these brothers.

Our purpose is to share our missionary vision for national leadership here and thus contribute to the emergence of more workers and more churches that look beyond their own borders and see the unreached fields. We count on your support and prayers on our behalf and in favor of the entire Brazil-India.Vision-2020 ministry.

In favor of the Unreached peoples
Pr. Jefferson & Epi
