A joint effort by fundamentalist Baptist churches to reach every region of India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through missionaries Indian nationals.

VISION

We hope to see millions of people in India learning what is the real purpose of our existence while they submit themselves to Jesus Christ, participating in local churches, and being trained by these churches to take the Gospel to many others.

MISSION

A joint effort by fundamentalist Baptist churches to reach every region of India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through missionaries Indian nationals

Our mission is first of all to please God, then to serve, work with, and help equip the workers in India, by acting as a link between them and our churches in Brazil, so that they can more effectively reach those groups still unreached by the Gospel of Christ.

AIMS

Our goal is to exalt Christ, asking the group of Indian believers how we can help them.

We are committed to making new disciples and planting churches through Indian workers.

That does not mean in any way, we do not care about the physical suffering of those who we seek to minister. Through the Scriptures we see our Lord Jesus Christ using the needs that the body felt to lead people to Himself. Despite the rapid economic growth that India is coming through in recent times the needs of men, women and children suffering in India are great.

We plan to fulfill our vision by giving an opportunity for individuals and local churches to pray and help on specific projects led by groups of Indian believers, helping to provide the necessary resources and thereby encouraging them to continue.

We will work in various ways, such as assisting in training staff, helping the evangelists in their effort to spread the gospel and plant churches, outreach materials and assisting with humanitarian aid in situations where this will help in promoting the Gospel, helping those who are suffering because of their faith.

Working in that way as a link between Indian believers and Brazilian believers.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We need to move from the information to the accomplishment (implementation) if we want to see these people reached with the Gospel.

We believe we can be more effective working as a servant of the Indian brothers. We must work in partnership. We will offer help to those who are already doing the work.

We must be willing to "swim against the stream" when it is the right thing to do.

The Lord has clearly led us to use a more effective approach within the current circumstances: to help Indian workers to reach their own people and fulfill the Great Commission as commanded in Matthew 28:19-20.

A vision without action is merely a dream.

An action without vision is just passing the time.

A vision with action can change the world

We will be working in partnership with VISION.2020.ASIA whose ministry was started in 2000 by Rev. Dr. James Starr. He has made 30 trips to India in the last 14 years.

The possibility of reaching India by crowds of native missionaries in our generation is very real, since thousands are trained to plant churches across India! Although the missionaries in India have to face many difficult obstacles as they carry the message of the Gospel from village to village, they have a huge advantage over us in the West:

Advantages in investing in Indian National Missionaries

1. They can cross the cultural and linguistic barriers more easily.

2. They can be sent at a lower cost than a Western missionary.

The average cost is 1/10 to sustain a national missionary in India then to sustain a brazilian missionary in India.

In other words ... to reach India we need a strategy in which our churches can help support missionaries Indian nationals since for every missionary sent from Brazil we could support 10 missionaries in India.

But by the other hand ...

...we want that churches planted in each culture be truly indigenous in the self-governing, self-propagating and, as soon as possible, self-sustaining.

The Indian missionaries are willing to pay a high price in suffering, misery and intense persecution to see churches being established in India. Thousands of indigenous brothers and sisters are waiting to be sent. They just need our help!

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE?

GO:. Be ready to answer God's call, "Whom shall I send?"Surely the Lord does not call everyone to go to the field and work full time as missionaries. However there are many ways to participate in part-time: Teachers, Doctors and Nurses, Merchants, Builders, etc.. Consider visiting the mission field.

PRAY:. The most important support for the missionaries is YOUR prayer. Pray that the Lord will raise a large army of evangelists to reach all peoples who have not heard of Jesus Christ.

GIVE: Hold regularly and faithfully the work of the Lord with your money. Be a tither at your local church. Participate in your church's missionary program. And recognizing that we need to be more daring missions to unreached people adopt one of our projects in India.

Assisting in the maintenance of a church planter.
Supporting an evangelist during his training.
Supporting a teacher in one of the centers of evangelization.
Helping orphanages maintained by Indian workers.
Contributing to the support of Brazilian workers in India.

LOVE:. Missionaries are human beings with feelings like ours that need to be encouraged by our love. There is no friendship without receiving evidence of love and affection of the other party. So too the missionaries need to feel the living bond between them and the churches that sent them to the field.

Kolkata: Political leaders in West Bengal on Thursday appealed for peace and harmony and refrained from commenting on the Allahabad High Court's Ayodhya verdict.

West Bengal's ruling Left Front partners said they would comment on the issue only after discussing it with party leaders and legal experts.

'I won't comment on the verdict right now. First we will discuss about the verdict within our party and with legal experts, then we will comment on the issue,' senior Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Mohammad Salim said.

'But I would like to appeal that please maintain peace and harmony. We all want peace,' he said.

The court Thursday ruled that the spot in Ayodhya where a makeshift temple was built hastily after razing the Babri Masjid in 1992 was indeed where Hindu god Ram was born, lawyers said.

The court declared that the land around the disputed site should be divided into three parts -- one going to Hindus, another to Muslims and the third to Nirmohi Akhara, a Hindu sect and a litigant in the case.

'I will just say please maintain peace and harmony. Every party involved in this case has the scope to go to the Supreme Court. I won't comment anything more on this issue right now,' senior Forward Bloc leader Hafiz Alam Sairani told IANS.

The state's principal opposition party Trinamool Congress decided to toe the line of its diehard enemy CPI-M and decided to comment on the issue only after discussion within the party.

'We will speak on the issue after discussion within the party and not before that,' said Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee.

Political analysts said that the judgment was on expected lines. 'The judgment given by the court was most expected,' political analyst Sabyasachi Basu Roy Chowdhury told IANS.

The busy streets and crossings of the city wore a deserted look from Thursday morning. Many of those employed in offices chose to stay back at home and many schools decided to close earlier than scheduled time just hours before the court's judgment.

The people welcomed the decision and thanked the court for the balanced judgment.

'We are very happy with this unbiased decision, which will not lead to any untoward incident,' said Smritimoy Guha, a lawyer.

'I am satisfied. This kind of decision will promote brotherhood and fraternity for future,' said Pijush Gosh, a student.

Security in sensitive areas of West Bengal has been beefed up to prevent any untoward incident.

Hi folks,

Tomorrow (September 30) will be a day of great tension throughout India. After 18 years of an intense legal battle, the high court of Allahabad will announce the verdict of the "Case of the Babri Masjid," as it became known that legal battle between Hindus and Muslims in the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh (northern India).

The fight between Hindus and Muslims began in the early 16th century, when the Muslim emperor Babar defeated the Hindu king Rana Sangram Singh and erected a mosque on the site, according to Hindu traditions, the god Rama was born, exactly where was a Hindu temple. Centuries have passed with Hindus and Muslims using the same location and fighting the final possession of it.

Until, in December 1992 after many provocations from both sides, 150,000 Hindus have attacked and demolished the Babri mosque (picture below), despite the Indian government's attempt to contain the inevitable. Riots and smashing spread throughout the country and more than 2,000 people, including Hindus and Muslims, were killed in the clashes that followed.

The case of Babri Mosque, which will have an outcome tomorrow, became a politic-social-religious battle. And whatever the outcome of the jury in favor of Hindus or Muslims, it is expected a big protest by the losing team. The fear is that the riots of 90's repeat. To this end, the authorities are taking security measures and asking everyone not to go to the streets to protest.

Pray for a peaceful outcome to this case. Pray that people and groups who are planning riots and attacks if they leave losers are contained by the police. Pray for protection for so many innocent people who have nothing to do with this fight. May the Prince of Peace reigns in the minds and hearts of the Indian citizens!

LUCKNOW, India (Reuters) - An Indian court will rule on Thursday whether Hindus or Muslims own land around a demolished mosque in northern India, a judgement haunted by memories of 1992 riots that killed some 2,000 people.

Those riots were some of the country's worst religious violence since Partition in 1947 and a verdict on the case may spark more disturbances between India's majority Hindus and minority Muslims.

The verdict will add to the security worries of the government, which already has its hands full dealing with the preparations for the Commonwealth Games that are bedevilled by concerns over filthy accommodation and health and security.

The case over the 16th century Babri mosque in northern Uttar Pradesh state's Ayodhya town is one of the biggest security challenges in India this year, along with a Maoist insurgency and a Kashmiri separatist rebellion, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said.

"The verdict will be announced on 30th (September) at 3:30 p.m. (11 a.m. British time)," said Subodh Sahay, registrar of the court in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

The verdict date was announced after India's Supreme Court on Tuesday cleared the way for a court in Uttar Pradesh to decide on the ownership of the Babri Mosque. The mosque was razed in 1992 by Hindu mobs, sparking rioting between Hindus and Muslims that killed some 2,000 people.

Hindus and Muslims have quarrelled for more than a century over the history of the Babri mosque.

Hindus claim that the mosque stands on the birthplace of their god-king Rama, and was built after the destruction of a Hindu temple by a Muslim invader in the 16th century.

The dispute flared up in 1992 after a Hindu mob destroyed the mosque and nearly 2,000 were killed in rioting between Hindus and Muslims across the country.

The verdict on ownership of the religious site was to have come on September 24 from the lower court in Uttar Pradesh state, but the top court suspended that imminent verdict last week, responding to arguments that a chance should be given to reconciliation in the 60-year-old case.

Lawyers of both sides in the case -- Hindu and Muslim litigants -- welcomed the Supreme Court decision, saying a verdict in the case could not be put off indefinitely as the chances of a reconciliation after years of litigation were slim.

"Right now there is no possibility. Any reconciliation will happen only after the ... judgement," Zafaryab Jilani, lawyer of the Sunni Central Board of Waqf, the Muslim litigants, said.

Please pray for his wife, Grace, and their son, Shanyaola, that God would comfort them in their loss and provide for their needs. Grace is also pregnant with their second child.

Dear partners in prayer and support of the unreached in India

God always answers our prayers. Sometimes saying yes, sometimes saying no, and sometimes saying Wait. But sometimes He answers immediately so that takes us by surprise. Dr. Jim Starr,the missionary with whom I traveled in India, came to visit us and to participate in the Congress of 10 years of MBBF. It was a lightning response of prayer.

He could talk to the students of our seminary (SBRS), presenting the ministry of Visão2020Asia, Where he is the founder and coordinator, and challenge them about the 10/40 Window where is 2 / 3 of the world population and where most of the people group of the world never even heard of Christ. Pastor Jim preached at our church on Saturday, the First Regular Baptist Church of Curitiba, where 10 people made a decision to consecrate themselves to the Lord, Including two of our children. On Sunday he spoke at Calvary Baptist Church and once again in our church.

The First Congress of MBBF began on Tuesday in a Christian resort about 60 km from Curitiba. The food, facilities, fellowship and music were wonderful. Congratulations to Pastor Paul and his team. Everything was very organized.

It was very nice to hear the missionaries who served in our country by sharing their experiences: Dr. Bill Smallman, Vice President and Director of Global Training Mission of Baptist Mid-Missions preached each night, Pastor Robert Thompson spoke about the promise of faith. Currently he is working with Bibles International. Epi and I had the privilege of knowing his work in India, in the state of Assam. Pastor V.W. Peters, Field Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean BMM spoke about the importance of mission agencies and encouraged us talking about the beginning of BMM, now with many missionaries around the world. Pastor Tomé, from Campinas, SP spoke about a method they are using in their region and challenged us to adapt their program uniting the local churches to work in partnership. And Pastor Sergio of IB Esperança, São Paulo, talked about the importance of the local church in missionary work.

The conference had an international tone, for our missionaries came from Mozambique, Africa, one pastor from Venezuela, another from British Guiana, three from Dominican Republic and Pastor Jim representing India. By God's grace almost every MBBF missionaries were also present, in addition to counselors and pastors from several states.
In fact it was very exciting to see the fruit of the vision and efforts of many brothers, missionaries and pastors, Americans and Brazilians taking our churches to another level. Thank God and the work of men like Pastor Paul and MBBF's advisors who are doing what is in fact MISSIONS: Taking the Gospel beyond the borders of our churches to a people who are unable or unwilling to do for themselves. What a blessing to be part of this mission and of this movement!

It was a great pleasure to have pr Jim Starr staying in our home, and rely on his patience to hear us speaking in English, including our children. After having traveled with him in India for more than 6 weeks, visiting various churches and seminars from October to December last year was very pleasant to be with him these two weeks.
I also could give a little report of our trip to India, both in Congress as in the churches we visited in Sao Paulo. We visited 3 of the 12 churches that Pastor Marvim Fray planted in Brazil: Esperança Baptist Church, with Pastor Sergio Moura, Esperança Baptist Church in Tatuape with Pastor Alceu Ferreira, and IBR in Rio Bonito, where Pr.Dorivaldo is for more than 30 years. On Monday and Tuesday we were in Two seminaries: SEBARSP and Esperança. It was a great opportunity to share our vision to members of churches, pastors and future leaders of our churches.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We intend to return to India next year to work in the Mission Center of Siliguri, just after raising our support. Our aim is to be a link between Brazilian Baptist churches and Indian national church planters so that they can do what they are doing faster and easier. We want to raise an additional support to help some of these church planters including assistance to orphanages which is a good strategy for evangelism.

I started making my visits to churches in northern Paraná. Now I hope to share this vision to the largest amount of our churches as possible.

Epi is working as a nurse at the Hospital in Curitiba during this period we are raising our support because our children are still studying and depending on us financially. In addition, she is getting more experience tha will be very useful in India.

We want to thank you with all our heart for your prayers and support on the trip we went to familiarize ourselves with the field.

We spent exactly 2 months traveling from the north to the southern part of India. We were accompanying Dr. James Starr, founder of Vision2020Asia, who introduced us to approximately 20 Bible colleges and Seminaries. We also visited 25 Independent Baptist Churches. We gave our testimony in all of these places telling the brethren that we have a strong desire to help them win India to Christ.

It's a huge task, of course, when we consider the population of India with 1.2 bilion people and only 2% of Christians. This certainly requires the cooperation of all belivers who really love the Truth and are commited to the preaching of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many churches have already invested in the national indian missionaries by partnering with them. Baptist Mid-Missions, who starded many of our Regular Baptist Churches in Brazil, also has a work in India (visit their homepage - http://www.partnershipmissions.org/).

It is our desire to see our churches in Brazil working together to reach those in India who have not yet heard the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our plan for this year, 2010, is to visit as many churches as possible in Brazil, sharing our vision in the hope that they participate to reach the unreached people in India.

We have almost all the bags packed!

If it's God's will we are travelling on October 15.

Our original plan was to travel in November, but since the missionary with whom we intend to travel will go earlier then we hope to anticipate our trip in order to accompany him.

The main reason is that we have great interest in knowing

the new seminary being built in Siliguri, NE India.

Today, September 8TH, our request for a tourist visa is being analyzed at the Consulate of India. Shortly we will be buying the tickets. Thanks to several individuals and brothers and the First Regular Baptist Church of Curitiba we have raised the value for our tickets to travel to India and to return ...

Now, as the other churches and brothers contribute to us in the

INDIA DAY - CAMPAIGN, we'll be able to travel more or less within India and

stay there for more or less time.

The initial estimate is that we will spend the same amount to accompany rev. Jim Starr on his trips during these two months. He will visit several seminars and churches in various parts of the country, including places where we'll need special permissions. We are interested to join him as much as possible, since it will facilitate our survey trip and help starting a partnership with those who are already doing missionary work to reach the unreached peoples of India.

We are immensely grateful for all the brothers that the Lord has used to support us in this project. We believe that God's plans include using our churches as a means to reach those people who have not heard the Gospel.

India census: population goes up to 1.21bn

India has a diverse population of a bilion-plus people

India's population has grown by 181 million people over the past decade to 1.21bn, according to the 2011 census.

More people now live in India than in the United States, Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan and Bangladesh combined.

India is on course to overtake China as the world's most populous nation by 2030, but its growth rate is falling, figures show. China has 1.3bn people.

The census also reveals a continuing preference for boys - India's sex ratio is at its worst since independence.

Female foeticide remains common in India, although sex-selective abortion based on ultrasound scans is illegal. Sons are still seen by many as wage-earners for the future.

Statistics show fewer girls than boys are being born or surviving. The gender imbalance has widened every decade since independence in 1947.

According to the 2011 census, there were 914 girls for every 1,000 boys under the age of six, compared with 927 for every 1,000 boys in the 2001 census.

"This is a matter of grave concern," Census Commissioner C Chandramauli told a press conference in the capital, Delhi.

Government officials said they would review all their policies towards this issue, which they admitted were failing.

Indians now make up 17% of the world's population. Uttar Pradesh remains its most populous state, with 199 million people.

The statistics show India's massive population growing at a significant rate - 181 million is roughly equivalent to the entire population of Brazil.

But the rate of that growth is slower than at any time since 1947. The 2011 census charts a population increase of 17.6%, compared with one of 21.5% over the previous decade.

The BBC's Mark Dummett in Delhi says the slowing growth rate suggests that efforts to promote birth control and female education are working.

In the field of education there was good news, with the census showing the literacy rate going up to 74% from about 65% in the last count.

India launched the 2011 census last year. The exercise costs in the region of 22bn rupees ($490m; £300m).

Some 2.7 million officials visited households in about 7,000 towns and 600,000 villages, classifying the population according to gender, religion, education and occupation.

The exercise, conducted every 10 years, faces big challenges, not least India's vast area and diversity of cultures.

Census officials also have to contend with high levels of illiteracy and millions of homeless people - as well as insurgencies by Maoists and other rebels which have left large parts of the country unsafe.

Two hundred men of David were too tired to march and fight with the Amalekites. So they left behind to watch the supplies and take care of baggage. When David returned from battle, made no distinction between them and their fighters, saying: "...they shall part alike."

Thank God for many opportunities of service He has given to us.

INSTITUTE HAGGAI

In January I had the opportunity to do the Advanced Course for Leadership in Haggai Institute in Singapore (country in Asia, between Malaysia and Indonesia). This Institute is a mission of global evangelism that aims to equip Christian leaders in Asia, Africa and Latin America, so that they more effectively evangelize their own people and train others to do the same.

We were 33 students representing 20 countries. I could know many brothers from Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim countries.

The obedience of the "Go to all ethnic groups" (Mt 28:19) requires the trans-cultural missionary work and the Lord has directed me to move in this direction. I have prayed daily for several years about the un-reached people, and in recent years I feel I must do something about it.

AIMS

My wish is that our Regular Baptist Church in Brazil focus its efforts to assist in the training of those brothers who are near of the unreached people, so that with our help they can more easily reach their own people within their culture, diversity of language and social situation.

In Asia, especially in India, there are a lot of brothers who need our support in prayer, the encouragement of a personal visit, and financial assistance to facilitate the work they are already doing. Many of these brothers are risking their lives to reach these people who never heard of Christ and are ignorant of the need for salvation.

TRIP TO INDIA

In the providence of God we are planning to visit India in November and get specific information about how to get involved directly to help Indian evangelists who defend our same doctrines.

Then we plan to return to India to work in a seminary and help to establish a link between our Regular Baptist Church in Brazil and our Indian brothers evangelists.

VISITING CHURCHES

We're currently visiting the churches that support our ministry to clarify the project and thank the trust they placed in us. At the same time we are available to churches to talk about missions to unreached people.

My testemony

Since I was a child I’ve heard the Gospel from my parents. I was born in a Christian home and received Christ as my personal Savior and Lord when I was eight years old. I learned that I had to accept Jesus myself because my parents couldn’t do it for me.

I knew that I was a sinner and that God is holy. I learned that Jesus came to pay for my sins by dying on a cross and the only thing I needed to do was to believe in Him. Then one day the visiting pastor invited those who wanted to receive Christ as their personal Savior to come forward, and that is exactly what I did.I went home so happy and secure with the assurance that I was saved. My parents hadn’t gone to church that Sunday morning and when I told them I had accepted the Lord as my personal Savior they rejoiced with me.

For a long time I was very sure of my salvation, because I knew I didn’t need to do anything to be saved. God had saved me by sending his son in my place,but one day I heard a pastor say that he had prayed for salvation again, and made another decision to receive Christ, because he was not sure of his salvation. I was disturbed with what I heard that day, because that man had already been chosen as the best student of the seminary and now he was saying that he wasn’t even saved.

I thought I wasn’t a very good Christian, and because of that I doubted my salvation. I was already in my second year at the seminary, but Satan put a seed of doubt in my mind. It bothered me for almost a year. In fact, I couldn’t serve God like I had before. Day and night I would worry about what would happen to me if I wasn’t saved. That year was a very difficult one for me.

Then one day while I was looking for answers, I found Psalm 116 where the psalmist had a similar experience. He said:

3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

…10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

...12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

This had really bothered me. I had even thought that I could have been possessed by demons if I wasn’t saved. I doubted my salvation because I didn’t remember the date on which I had received Christ as my Savior and who was the preacher that had preached that Sunday morning when I was just eight years old. And then I thought: ''How can I be saved if I don’t remember that?''

But the Bible does not say to remember the date or the name of the pastor that preached the gospel to you, but says:

“ … Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” - Acts 16:31, and the psalmist said: “I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted”- Psalm 116:10.

That was what I did. I gave my testimony in front of the congregation saying I had believed in Christ Jesus since I invited him to be my personal Savior. And from that day on I had assurance of my salvation. Jesus said:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” John 5:24.

I assume that many people may be passing through this same experience, and I know that a true believer may suffer a lot if he is not sure his salvation is “the gift of God - the eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:23.

I have urged people to think over their decision. It is sad to think that so many people have deceived themselves about their salvation when in fact, they are not saved.

My heart also has a burden for the people that have never heard about Jesus. Many people in the world haven't even heard the Gospel. I want to do something about it. Me and my family have dedicated ourselves to serve God by taking the Gospel to these un-reached people, or to help my brothers in these countries (specifically India) with what I have learned.

Perhaps I could work in a seminary, to train some national pastors to reach their own people. I could also help the people from my country to open their eyes and look unto the fields.That is what I have been praying for, for almost 6 years.

This is a good time for our country to link with others. Perhaps it is a good time for our churches in Brazil to take advantage of this opportunity. My own denomination (Regular Baptist Church in Brazil) is becoming aware of this.

I have preached about being faithful where we are, but looking forward to reaching out to other countries. Preaching to those near us but not forgetting those who are far from us.

We need to reach them and be a witness for Christ

“…both in Jerusalem - Judaea – Samaria - and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

Our Ministry during this 23 years

When I graduated from the Parana Baptist Bible Institute
(Seminário Batista Regular do Sul) in 1987

I began to pastor a small Regular Baptist Church in S.J. dos Pinhais (PR), while I planned to work among the unreached people.

The term Unreached-People defines
a group of individuals in which there is no native community of believers (Christians) capable to evangelize themselves.
Many of these groups don't have knowledge of who God is.
They never heard someone speak about His Son, Jesus Christ and
they totally ignore the need of salvation

The list of unreached people is immense,
and growing in all the continents, great metropolises, villages and tribes.
We need to pray and reach these people,
because it was Jesus' commandment:

"Go then, and make disciples of all the nations".

After attending a Missionary Conference in São Paulo with pr. John White Jr. who alerted us about the need of our churches to grow and send missionaries, I understood that God wanted me to stay there in Curitiba, PR.

The First Regular Baptist Church of Curitiba invited me to be their pastor and I was challenged to lift the vision of that church for the missionary work.

Thank God, when we left, four and a half years later, the church continued to grow, due to the work of two pastors that came after me. This church is involved in the work on several missionary fields today and is our main ministry supporter.

God continued with his plan and called us to the state of Acre. We had a very good experience there in the Emmanuel Regular Baptist Church, in Rio Branco, but just for one and a half year. In fact, it was a transition experience in our ministry. As fruit of that work, we saw two congregations develop and now they are being pastored by students from the same seminary where I studied (SBRS). When I left that church, the co-pastor assumed the leadership.

Then, I had the privilege of pastoring the church where I was born again and from where I left to study in the Bible School. The First Regular Baptist Church of Caçapava, SP. We were there for six years and I had excellent experiences of what the pastoral ministry is as well as hard experiences, too.

When I left the leadership of that church I had great expectations to enter the mission field. Then I received the invitation to assume the work that had been initiated by the missionaries who were my pastors:

Pr. George M. Moore was in Mauá da Serra only nine months. He began the foundation of the temple and God took him home. Then Pr. Erwin Evans came and concluded the construction but soon he retired and went to the USA.

When we received that invitation, my wife and I didn't have doubts that it was an answer to prayer. Therefore we were asked to transfer our membership to Marilândia do Sul, PR, and they sent us to:

India is a country that needs urgently to hear the Gospel.
It's very populous and has an impressive low index of Christians.

Jesus asks us to pray for more workers

"... The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest." - Luke 10:2

"I {being} in the way, the LORD led me"
Gen. 24:27.

While we were in Mauá da Serra working for the development of this work,
we were also raising our eyes for the harvest that is great.

We have submited our lives to go where God has commanded us.

If God uses me to get up more workers for his harvest, or if He uses me to aid the workers that go then I will be a blessed man.

Now, we returned to the First Regular Baptist Church of Curitiba.

This church is ready to send us if it is God's will. We have already our visas to our survey trip.
